Who doesn’t love a grilled cheese sandwich, this one takes your ordinary grilled cheese sandwich up a notch!
This grilled cheese sandwich features pear, Camembert cheese, prosciutto and balsamic glaze. It is a delicious Fall comfort food and a delicious way to enjoy Fall pears.
This Pear & Camembert Grilled Cheese starts with a lovely tuscan bread. It’s grilled in butter, then cooked low and slow to allow the cheese to melt. The sandwich is also weighted down as it cooks, to achieve a perfect and consistent grill.
Ingredients
- Two slices of the Tuscan Pane
- .62 lb Camembert cheese
- 6 thinly sliced pear slices
- 4 slices sliced Prosciutto
- Drizzle of Trader Giotto’s Glaze, Balsamic Glaze
- 3 tablespoon butter
Instructions
Spread 1 tablespoon butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Arrange cheese slices on top of each piece of bread.
Spread pear slices in a single layer over the cheese on one slice of bread.
Place prosciutto slices on top of the pears.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Place the sandwich butter side down, place a heavy pan on top and cook until lightly brown. Flip and cook a few more minutes until the bread is slightly brown.
Remove from pan and drizzle Trader Giotto’s Glaze over top.
