Pear & Camembert Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Who doesn’t love a grilled cheese sandwich, this one takes your ordinary grilled cheese sandwich up a notch!

This grilled cheese sandwich features pear, Camembert cheese, prosciutto and balsamic glaze. It is a delicious Fall comfort food and a delicious way to enjoy Fall pears.

This Pear & Camembert Grilled Cheese starts with a lovely tuscan bread. It’s grilled in butter, then cooked low and slow to allow the cheese to melt. The sandwich is also weighted down as it cooks, to achieve a perfect and consistent grill.

Ingredients

  • Two slices of the Tuscan Pane
  • .62 lb Camembert cheese
  • 6 thinly sliced pear slices
  • 4 slices sliced Prosciutto
  • Drizzle of Trader Giotto’s Glaze, Balsamic Glaze
  • 3 tablespoon butter

Instructions

Spread 1 tablespoon butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Arrange cheese slices on top of each piece of bread.

Spread pear slices in a single layer over the cheese on one slice of bread.

Place prosciutto slices on top of the pears.

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter.

Place the sandwich butter side down, place a heavy pan on top and cook until lightly brown. Flip and cook a few more minutes until the bread is slightly brown.

Remove from pan and drizzle Trader Giotto’s Glaze over top.
